ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT:-

The Department of Botany was established in the year1986 when the college was affiliated to Gulbarga University, Kalaburagi. The Dept. of Botany since its inception is doing well in catering the educational requirements of the most back word regions of Harapanahalli taluk with leaps & bounds by crossing all the hurdles. Currently the Dept. of Botany is running in a spacious building with all basic amenities and is in a position to accommodate more number of students for both theory and practical.

The Department is having well equipped laboratory by having collection of precious specimens, Bio–Visual charts, chemicals, equipments and other requisites. As per the syllabus prescribed by the Davanagere University, Davanagere, students have been taken to field visits and botanical tour to different places to acquire the knowledge both in agro industries & nature.
