On 25-6-2022, Department of Commerce conducted activities for B.Com final year on the topic ‘Creative thinking and Implementation’ (About Nation Building) and for B.Com Second year on the topic ‘Mad Ads’ (As a Advertising Agency). All the students took active participation in both the activities. Smt Swarna.M.C, Department of Kannada acted as a judge.
On this occasion the Principal Dr.S.M.Siddalingamurthy and all staff of commerce department were present.

A Special lecture programme was organized by the Department of Commerce and Management Association under I.Q.A.C on 13-09-2019. Resource person Dr.C.Basavanthappa, Principal, H.P.S. First Grade College, Harapanahalli, gave lecture on “Processing of Income Tax” to the students. In his talk he highlighted the Indian revenue system act. In Indian revenue system act there is a committee on C.B.D.T. (Central Board of Direct Tax). In this committee, there are 7 members including a chairman & 6 other members of I.A.S officers. The main objective of the committee is to frame the rules & acts, circulars, notification according to the Income tax act 1963.
On 05-02-2019 A Special Talk programme was organised on “Goods and Service Tax (GST)” for B.Com. students by the department. Sri.Ravisingh.H, Faculty Member, G.F.G. College, Davangere was the Resource Person for the talk.
The department has conducted one day state level seminar about “EMERGING ISSUES IN RETAILING” during the year 2015-16.
