World Environment Day

On 6-6-2022, World environment day was celebrated by NSS unit 1 & 2 of our college. Shri. R. Ramanagouda, chairman of our college, inaugurated the programme by planting the saplings. He addressed the students by giving a call to save the environment and to keep the environment clean. Cleanliness should be the first priority of your life, clean environment will protect your health.

Kum.C.Sushma, Lecturer in Botany gave a speech on this occasion and advised the students that “Save Environment” should not just be a slogan, we have to take action on it. 

The Principal, Dr. S.M. Siddhalingamurthy, Professor G.B. Naganagoudru, Dr. D. Thippeswamy, G. Umesha, Nawaz Basha, NSS officers Ananda S and Dr.A.M. Rajasekharaiah, and the students took part in the event.

Students participated in the painting competition to raise awareness for the World Environment Day. In this competition Kotresh Banakar won the first prize, J.D Harshitha second and Rajeshwari won the third prize.

The Essay Competition was organized for all students with the theme "Urbanization and the Environment", on the World Environment Day. Kum.Uttangi Sheela bagged first prize, the second prize was shared by M.Nagaveni and D.Kavya. The third prize was awarded to A.M.Pruthvi and H.M.suma.
