A B First Grade College, Harapanahalli
Educational Trip from the Kannada Department
On November 22, 2022, a field trip was planned for BA first-year optional Kannada students. 34 students and staff from the Kannada department went on this tour to the Chalukya Vastu-style Bhimeswara temple in Nilgunda village. This temple was constructed in a stunning setting in front of the community lake. The students were given an explanation of the temple's design, and the elaborate carvings on the doors and gateways left them in astonishment. The exterior of the temple, the tower, and the tower's idols all have magnificent sculptures in the Dravidian style. On the grounds of the temple, there are inscriptions. The language, style, significance, and preservation of the inscriptions were explained to the students. The student’s interest in the temple and its inscriptions will grow as a result of this excursion.
