NATIONAL CADET CORPS (NCC)
Introduction:
NCC established in the college from the academice year 1988-89. As pr the order 108 cadets are permitted to enroll in the NCC Sub-unit. Among 108 cadets 35 vacancies are reserved for girls and 73 for the boys. The parade is conducted in the college every friday from 02.00 P.M. to 06.00 P.M. The cadets are trained to appear 'B' & 'C' certificate exams. Also cadets are under going camp, training at batallion level, state level and national level. The NCC units in the college is working for the overall development of students.
The NCC in India was formed with the National Cadets Corps Act of 1948. The NCC can be considered as a successor of the University Officer Training Corps (UOTC) which was established by the British in 1942. NCC is a Youth Organisation at National Level to train young boys and girls to be better citizen and future leaders of our great country. The motto of NCC is “UNITY AND DISCIPLINE”. NCC aims to develop character, discipline leadership, spirit of adventure, sportsmanship and ideals of selfless service among the youth of the country. It creates a human resource of organised, trained and motivated youth, to provide leadership in all walks of life and to take up a carrer in the armed forces.
It is open to school and college students on voluntary basis. NCC is Tri-Service organisation, comprising the army, navy and Air force, engaged in grooming the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens. The cadets are given basic military training in small arms and parades.
The students of Ambli Dodda Bharamappa First Grade College are enrolled with 33KAR NCC BN Davanagere since 1988-89. In the institutions total 108 cadets are enrolled.
2023-24
Combined Annual Training Camp, Kondajji 2023-24.
From our college this academic year 58 cadets sent to attend 10 day CATC camp from 18/01/2024 to 27/01/2024, during the training period syllabus covered in the camp, the topics of Drill, Health & Hygiene, History of NCC, Firing, basics of Field & Battle Craft. Practical classes included lessons of Tent pitching, Disaster Management, Drill, Guard of honor etc and primarily focused on Wing specific activities and introduced to weapons such as a 0.22 caliber rifle and attended firing practices on selected days. Cultural and Sports events were also an important and integral part of the camp with relevant prizes and medals were distributed for the winners.

Celebration of 75th NCC Day on 28-11-2023
The 75th National Cadet Corps (NCC) Day celebration was conducted on 28-11-2023 in the college with great enthusiasm. The program was inaugurated by Sri R. Ramangoudru, the president of the Veerashaiva Vidya Vardhaka Sangha, Ballari. Sri. M. Pampa Nayak, NCC officer, Government P. U. College, Harapanahalli gave a keynote speech on “Discipline of cadets and their role in the nation-building process”. The program witnessed the presence of distinguished guests, including Sri. Subedar Surendra Singh and Sri. D.N. Tippekar, a training instructor, from 33 KAR Battalion, Davanagere. They emphasized the significance of the health of cadets and the functioning of the NCC organization. Sri. G.B. Naganagoudar, Head of the English Department, spoke about the contribution of Cadets to the Indian Army and building a strong Nation. The event was presided over by Dr. S.M. Siddalinga Murthy, the Principal of the College, and Dr. D. Tippeswamy, Head of the Kannada Department, Sri. Nawazj Basha, Director of Physical Education, and Sri. Basalingappa Kalmani, NCC Officer, were also present. Students Kum. Krutika H. V. sang the prayer song, Kum. Manjula M. anchored the programme and Mr. Nayaz welcomed the guests and gave a vote of thanks.
Selection of Cedets for the Academic year 2023-24 on 27-09 2023
Selection of Cedets for the Academic year 2023-24 was carried out by NCC officers, PI staff and Try JCO at the College on 27-19-2023. The cadets were selected based on Physical, medical and written tests.
2022-23

2021-22
NCC offline training preparation for the year 2021-2022.PI staff visited the College
Annual Training Camp at Toranagallu.
Our College Student Mr.Hajrathali Tattimani, B.A.-3rd Year, participated in theRepublic Day Parade at Rajpath, New Delhi, on 26.01.2019.
Regular activities of NCC are started on 20-08-2018 by enrolling the cadets for the academic year 2018-19.
NCC cadets Kumari Shahin Taj attended the TSC (Thala Sena camp) at Bagalkote from 23-07-2018 to 01-08-2018.
NCC SD cadets -28 and SW cadets -11 attended CATC (Combined Annual Training Camp) at Toranagallu from 14-08-2018 to 23-08-2018.
NCC-B-certificate exam was conducted at Davanagere on 10th & 11th of February 2019. From the college 30 cadets appeared for the exam. C-Certificate exam conducted at Ballari on 24th & 25th February. From the college 12 cadets appeared for the exam.
As a part of Republic Day camp Hazarathali Tattimani participated at New Delhi for RDC-2019 from the college.
In the month of June on the occasion of “International Yoga day” on 21-06-2019, 80 cadets participated along with NCC officer.

NCC EVENTS:-
- International Yoga Day: International Yoga Day will be celebrated every year on June 21. The NCC cadets of 33KAR NCC BN from ADB First Grade College has been celebrating this day every year.
- Swachh Bharat Abhiyan: Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is a National Campaign by the Government of India covering all Cities, Town and Villages to clean. The campaign was officially launched on 02 October 2014 at Rajghat, New Delhi by honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It is India’s biggest ever cleanness drive and 3 million Government Employees and School and College Students of India participate in this event continuously.
On 20-08-2019 the NCC unit of our College conducted “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan”. In that event the cadets participated actively and cleaned the College campus.
3. Social Work, Tree Plantation: Our College NCC Cadets planted nearly 80 plants around the college campus on 05-06-2019.
